In Bishkek, a serious modernization of the state enterprise "Dan" is underway. Specialists from the Department of Processing and Organic Agriculture have assessed the current work within the framework of the "30+20+10" program.
Since its establishment in 1975, the enterprise, which has a half-century history, is experiencing its "second birth." The first step towards renewal was taken in December of last year when a new pasta production line was launched. Currently, the mill is being reconstructed, and it is expected to be put into operation in the second quarter of this year. With the implementation of Turkish technologies, the mill will be able to process up to 150 tons of grain daily.
At present, the factory employs 125 staff members. The management has also outlined a number of systemic issues that hinder the stable development of the industry: it is necessary to simplify government procurement procedures, update equipment, and create a modern laboratory of its own.
These measures will help the state enterprise "Dan" not only strengthen its position in the domestic market but also play a key role in ensuring the country's food security.
