Who has been the akim of Chui District since 2002? List

The correspondent of Turmush has prepared an overview listing the individuals who have held the positions of akim and heads of the Chui District State Administration since 2002.

The Chui District is an administrative unit that is part of the Chui Region of Kyrgyzstan, with its administrative center located in Tokmok, which is not part of the district itself.

To the north, the Chui District borders Kazakhstan, to the east it borders the Kemin District, to the southwest it borders the Issyk-Ata District of the Chui Region, and to the south it borders the Kochkor District of the Naryn Region. The area of this district is 1,592 square kilometers.

According to the 2009 population census of Kyrgyzstan, out of 47,017 residents of the district, 39,116 (83.2%) are Kyrgyz, 3,225 (6.9%) are Russians, 2,201 (4.7%) are Dungans, 828 (1.8%) are Azerbaijanis, and 522 (1.1%) are Kazakhs.

According to the National Statistical Committee data for 2022, the population of the Chui District reached 58,442 people, of which 29,569 are men and 28,873 are women.

On March 22, 1944, 9 rural councils of the Chui District were transferred to the new Bystrovsky District. In 1956, the district center moved from the village of Staraia Pokrovka to the city of Tokmak. On November 26, 1959, part of the territory of the abolished Ivanovsky District was annexed to the Chui District.
