On December 4, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, met with the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, during his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The negotiations took place in both narrow and expanded formats.
The discussions focused on strengthening trade and economic ties, investment cooperation, as well as the development of transport and logistics routes and cultural and humanitarian interaction.
During the meeting, the necessity of further strengthening friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan was emphasized, as well as regular interaction at various levels.
Sadyr Japarov and Asif Ali Zardari expressed hope that the agreements reached would serve as an impetus for further development of relations between the two states and become an important step in strengthening multifaceted cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Pakistan wished Kyrgyzstan success in its chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
