During the conference, Azylov reported violations related to the use of funds that were not accounted for in the election fund. He provided testimony to investigators from the Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui Region and the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District.
According to a press release, on December 3, a complaint was filed with the Jayil District Internal Affairs Department by candidate Ch.A. against E.Ch., accusing him of bribery and financing outside the election fund. The complaint was registered, after which a preliminary investigation began. During the investigation, witnesses were interrogated, data from the Central Election Commission and other documents related to the electoral process were analyzed.
According to law enforcement agencies, the fact of vote buying was not confirmed; however, a violation of the procedure for financing the election campaign was identified, related to financing outside the election fund.
“The amount in question does not exceed the established threshold under Article 197 (‘Violation of the procedure for financing an election campaign’) of the Criminal Code. In this regard, the police decided to refuse to initiate a criminal case. Relevant information was sent to the Central Election Commission,” the press service's statement said.
