According to law enforcement agencies, L.A.'s daughter and nephew have been detained.
The investigation suggests that they were involved in organizing voter bribery.
“As a result of operational activities, a fact was recorded of the transfer of 360,000 soms for the purpose of bribing voters. After receiving the funds, they provided instructions on implementing the bribery scheme and obtained lists of voters for further actions,” the agency reports.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 196 "Bribery of Voters" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainees have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department. The Sverdlovsk District Court has chosen a preventive measure for the suspects in the form of arrest, with detention in pre-trial detention center No. 1 until December 23.
Recall that earlier the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums annulled the registration of two candidates for the Jogorku Kenesh — Gulnaz Khalilova (district No. 24) and L.A. (district No. 22).
Both candidates are suspected of vote buying, and the police received consent from the Central Election Commission to bring them to criminal responsibility.
