On December 12, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, participated in an international forum titled "Peace and Trust: Unity of Goals for a Sustainable Future." This event is dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, which will be celebrated in 2025, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the International Day of Neutrality.

Speaking at the forum, Japarov conveyed personal congratulations on behalf of the Kyrgyz people and himself to the fraternal people of Turkmenistan on this significant anniversary – the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality.

He noted that the policy of neutrality pursued by Turkmenistan has contributed to internal political stability and social consensus, thereby creating a solid foundation for the country's further development.

The President of Kyrgyzstan also emphasized that Kyrgyzstan highly values Turkmenistan's contribution to strengthening energy security in both Central Asia and neighboring regions.

In addition, he added that the gas and energy projects being implemented in Turkmenistan significantly contribute to enhancing energy supply resilience, expanding markets, and creating new opportunities for mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

In this context, Japarov highlighted the successful cooperation between the countries in the field of electricity supply.

He also noted the significant potential for interaction in the transport and logistics sectors.

The President stressed that Kyrgyzstan is ready to actively participate in the development of multimodal routes, the expansion of existing corridors, and the creation of new logistics chains.

"The modernization of transport and the development of multimodal routes remain key tasks for us," stated Sadyr Japarov.

In this regard, he highlighted the particular importance of the project for the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway and the construction of the Kambarata-1 hydroelectric power station in the energy sector.

"These and other major projects will open new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and the development of our countries," emphasized the president.

Sadyr Japarov also highly appreciated Turkmenistan's initiative to adopt a UN resolution declaring 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.

Kyrgyzstan has become an active supporter and co-author of this resolution, as it aims to strengthen the fundamental principles of international dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect for the sovereignty of states.

The president also noted Turkmenistan's active role in creating a unique regional format – the Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia.

He emphasized that this mechanism of direct and trusting dialogue has become an important platform for discussing common challenges and developing coordinated solutions, which is especially relevant in today's conditions.

"We are confident that we face a common task – the joint strengthening of peace, preventing conflicts, and promoting sustainable development," concluded the head of state.

Additionally, he noted that the Kyrgyz Republic consistently supports international efforts to strengthen stability.

The president emphasized that an important step on this path was the successful completion of the legal formalization of state borders with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan this year, which made a significant contribution to ensuring regional security and confirmed the commitment to the policy of peace and good neighborliness.

In conclusion of his speech, Sadyr Japarov noted that the joint efforts of the countries will contribute to further strengthening peace and trust in Central Asia, as well as the development of good neighborly relations.
