According to local education workers, the coal received by several institutions began to smoke during use.
Staff from the educational institutions noted that the coal contains a significant amount of stones, making it ineffective for heating classrooms.
The head of the Döbö-Korgon rural administration, Ölmasbek Kadyrov, commented on the situation. He stated that the coal was delivered by the end of October this year.
“We conducted an on-site inspection. The coal does not contain 80% stones, as reported, but only 5-10% impurities. We immediately called the companies that won the tender and received confirmation from them that if there are many stones in one ton, the coal will be replaced,” he added.
Kadyrov also noted that the warm climate of the region and the timing of the coal delivery during the warm period could have caused the smoking.
“At the moment, there are no problems with the burning of the coal and heating of the classrooms. A special commission conducted a quality check of the coal in the educational institutions,” he emphasized.

According to Kadyrov, the exact amount of stones in the coal can only be determined a month after its use.
“In one of the schools, 30 tons of coal were burned, and it turned out that there were 1.5 tons of stones, which is about 5%. This does not indicate that the coal does not burn. This is not a problem,” he added.
The coal for educational institutions was purchased through two separate tenders. For the schools in the Döbö-Korgon rural district, the contracting company “Emir Khan LTD” supplied 820 tons of BR grade coal for a total of 4 million 419 thousand 800 soms. The price limit for the tender was set at 5 soms 39 tyiyns per kilogram. The director of the company is Galzhikov Maisalbek.
For the kindergartens, individual entrepreneur Mamataziz Mendibaev supplied 130 tons of BR grade coal for a total of 603 thousand 570 soms, at a price of 4 soms 65 tyiyns per kilogram.
In total, 5 million 23 thousand 370 soms were spent on the purchase of coal for schools and kindergartens.
