Security service employees held a meeting with coal producers and sellers
The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) issued a warning against the artificial inflation of coal prices. The press service of the agency reported on a meeting attended by coal producers, sellers, fuel base owners, intermediaries, and representatives of local authorities from Osh and the Osh region.
During the meeting, participants discussed the situation regarding the provision of solid fuel to the population during the autumn-winter period and the issues of coal price formation, which have caused dissatisfaction among the residents of the region. GKNB specialists clarified to those present that manipulating public opinion through artificial price increases is unacceptable.
Representatives of the coal industry proposed to allocate land plots for the creation of fuel bases during the heating season. They stated their readiness to independently finance the construction of such facilities, which could reduce costs, including expenses on intermediaries and coal transportation, as well as positively impact pricing.
The GKNB noted that the issue of transforming land for the construction of fuel bases will be considered after the end of the 2025-2026 heating season.
By the end of 2025, participants in the coal market are recommended to lower prices on their products. The GKNB reported that entrepreneurs received this recommendation with understanding and agreed to it.
The committee also emphasized: "Any attempts to sabotage pricing policy and engage in actions contrary to the law will be treated as criminal offenses."
