A meeting of the Council on Science, Innovations, and New Technologies took place, chaired by the Prime Minister. Adylbek Kasymaliev, head of the presidential administration, emphasized the importance of science and innovative approaches as key aspects for the sustainable socio-economic progress of the country, as well as for ensuring technological sovereignty and national security.
During the event, participants listened to reports on the current state of the scientific field, as well as on the problems and prospects for its development. Special attention was given to improving the regulatory framework concerning the work of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and issues related to enhancing state support in the field of geological research.
As a result of the meeting, decisions of the Council on Science, Innovations, and New Technologies were made. The adopted document emphasizes that the development of scientific research and geology is a priority direction in the state policy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Cabinet of Ministers is recommended to implement comprehensive measures to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of scientific activities. This includes developing mechanisms for state orders, gradually increasing funding for the scientific field, rational use of resources, as well as modernizing geological science and strengthening the human resources potential and material-technical base of scientific institutions.
