The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump announced the decision to withdraw the country from 66 international organizations. According to information from RIA Novosti, the corresponding memorandum was signed by the president.
In a statement from the White House, it is reported: "Today, Donald J. Trump signed a presidential memorandum indicating the withdrawal of the United States from 66 international organizations, as they no longer align with the interests of our country."
The document specifies that all executive departments and agencies of the U.S. must cease funding and participation in 35 organizations outside the UN system, as well as in 31 entities that are part of the UN.
