
The pilot project has already been completed
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, on December 13, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Bishkek between the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and three international companies engaged in the supply, installation, and assembly of energy storage systems. The event was attended by Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The statement indicates that the document aims to implement modern energy storage technologies, which will enhance the reliability and resilience of the country's energy system and support Kyrgyzstan's transition to the use of renewable energy sources.
As part of this cooperation, a pilot project was successfully completed, during which a 100 kW energy storage unit was installed at OJSC "NESC," capable of providing energy for more than two hours. Solar panels installed on the roof of the building were used as the energy source.
The Memorandum was signed by the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Talaybek Ibraev and representatives of the companies Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), Xiamen Ampace Technology Limited (Ampace), and Yangpu Xinchuan Linghang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (YXL), which are leading global manufacturers of energy storage solutions.
