Deputies will use fingerprints and facial recognition for voting
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov approved a new regulation for the Jogorku Kenesh, as reported by his press service.
The draft law "On the Regulation of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic" was approved by deputies on December 24 of last year. The main goal of this law is to optimize the work of the parliament. In particular, a new position of the first deputy speaker is introduced, and restrictions on the number of deputies from one faction or group in committees are established.
One of the significant innovations will be the transition to an electronic voting system, which will include identification through fingerprints and facial geometry. This system is expected to start functioning on January 1, 2027.
