Israel warned the US about a possible strike on Iran

Israel has informed the US of its readiness to independently attack Iranian facilities related to the missile program, as it considers this an "existential threat." This was reported by Israeli media, citing sources in the security agencies, as TRT reports.

“We have informed the American side that we are ready to act independently if Iran crosses our red lines regarding ballistic missiles,” one of the sources noted.

During recent discussions with American colleagues, Israeli military personnel presented several strategies aimed at destroying facilities that produce missiles. One of them described this moment as a “historic opportunity” for a significant strike on Iranian missile infrastructure, which would reduce the threat to both Israel and neighboring countries.

Israel also expressed concerns that the US might limit itself to only minor strikes on Iran that would not eliminate the main threat.

“There is a risk that Washington will choose only a few targets, declare success, and leave Israel to deal with the consequences,” one of the military personnel explained.

It is expected that on February 11, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with US President Donald Trump to discuss recent Washington negotiations with Iran regarding the nuclear deal.

The press service of the Israeli Prime Minister emphasized that “any negotiations must include restrictions on ballistic missiles for Iran.” According to Axios, Netanyahu's visit to the US will be “urgent,” as it was originally scheduled for February 18. According to the White House, the Israeli side requested to move the meeting up by a week.

On February 6, negotiations took place between the US and Iran mediated by Oman, which both sides assessed as positive and agreed to new consultations; however, disagreements still remain. Tehran expressed its readiness to consider an agreement on uranium enrichment without a complete ban but refused to discuss the missile program, stating that this is a matter of defense. Trump emphasized that for an acceptable deal, the US requires a complete cessation of Iran's development of nuclear weapons.
