The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan announces the start of spring preventive measures aimed at combating animal diseases. As part of this plan, vaccination of heifers aged 3–6 months against brucellosis is being carried out on-site. In addition, blood samples are being taken from cattle for diagnostic studies to detect brucellosis. To protect domestic animals, vaccination of dogs and cats against rabies is also being conducted, and plans for deworming against echinococcosis are beginning to be implemented.
During the mass vaccination of sheep and goats, they are vaccinated against sheep pox and brucellosis, while cattle are vaccinated against sheep pox, anthrax, and other diseases. The funding for vaccination is provided from the state budget.
By 2026, it is planned to fully equip territorial veterinary services with the necessary biopreparations, antihelminthics, and disinfectants to maintain a stable epizootic situation in the country. Special refrigeration equipment will be installed for the storage of these materials.
The development of the plan for anti-epizootic measures was carried out taking into account the livestock population and the epizootic situation in various regions and was coordinated with local authorities, as well as approved in the established manner.
In 2026, 135 million soms will be allocated from the republican budget for the purchase of veterinary drugs and biopreparations. The provision of resources for conducting spring preventive measures has been completed at 100%. Currently, there is increased control over compliance with veterinary standards in the storage of vaccines and biopreparations, as well as their quality and rational use.
