Tyson Fury, a former world champion in multiple versions, spoke about his unexpected return to boxing, reports sportarena.kz.

In his next fight, Fury will face Arslanbek Makhmudov from Russia.

According to the Briton, he had no intention of stepping back into the ring.

“It’s nice to be back. I came to Thailand just for the Christmas holidays with my family. When I got here, I still considered myself retired. I had no plans. The sun inspired me. I felt so good that I decided: I’ll go to training camp, work out, and have a fight. And that’s how it all happened. When I flew here in December, I had no intention of returning to boxing; I was happy just relaxing. But the weather, the training, and everything else led to me signing a big contract. Now a fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium awaits me, and the whole world will be watching. Nothing compares to a roaring crowd, right? It’s been four years since I last fought at Tottenham, and four years since I had a fight in the UK. I’m really looking forward to going back there to enjoy the atmosphere. Nothing can compare to a British stadium that energizes you,” Tyson Fury's words are quoted by Sky Sports.

We remind you that the fight between Fury and Makhmudov will take place on April 11 in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This fight will mark Tyson's return to the ring after his retirement in December 2024.
