According to information published in The Washington Post, the Pentagon is planning possible prolonged ground operations by the U.S. in Iran.

It is reported that such operations could last several weeks but will not involve a "full-scale invasion." Sources claim that one of the objectives could be the capture of Khark Island or the destruction of military facilities near the Strait of Hormuz.

The Wall Street Journal informs that the U.S. may deploy more than 17,000 troops along the borders of Iran.

According to the publication, the Pentagon is considering sending an additional 10,000 soldiers, in addition to the already deployed 5,000 Marines and 2,000 paratroopers.

Although this number is far from sufficient for a full-scale invasion, it will allow for the occupation of strategically important positions on land or the capture of an island.

Central Command also reported the arrival of the USS Tripoli destroyer from the Pacific Ocean and about 3,500 Marines.

On board the amphibious ship, which is currently in Japan, there is also equipment for transportation and strike aircraft, as well as landing and tactical means.

The Second Expeditionary Corps, which includes about 2,200 Marines and three combat ships, is currently heading to the Middle East.

In the region, missile and drone attacks have occurred on two facilities related to the U.S. military-industrial and aerospace complex.

The press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that in response to the "hostile actions of American-Zionist forces" against Iranian industrial infrastructure, two sites related to the U.S. military and aerospace industry were attacked: the EMAL aluminum plant in the UAE and the ALBA plant in Bahrain.

It should be noted that EMAL is the largest aluminum production line in the world with a capacity of 1.3 million tons, while ALBA, with the participation of American investors, supports the U.S. defense industry.

A secondary explosion occurred at a warehouse of Ukrainian anti-drone systems in Dubai, according to media reports.

There is information about casualties and injuries, among whom there may be two Russians with whom there is no contact.

Earlier, the IRGC reported the destruction of a warehouse of Ukrainian anti-drone systems in Dubai, where 21 Ukrainian specialists were located. Information about their condition is currently unavailable. Later, a representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Tikhiy, denied this information.

Meanwhile, the Iranian war has reached a critical point in the Red Sea, which could lead to a global energy crisis.

This weekend, a month after the start of the conflict between Israel, the U.S., and Iran, Iran's allies in Yemen—the Houthis—entered into combat.

Although the shots are currently warning shots towards Israel, the Houthis could switch to attacks on the Saudi pipeline and oil terminal in the Red Sea at any moment.
