During an off-site meeting of the committee, she familiarized herself with the conditions at the institute.
“During the inspection of the building, I saw that the elevators are in an emergency state, the wards are cold, and the windows and doors need repair. At the same time, about 15,000 people undergo rehabilitation here every year. This is a unique institution with highly qualified specialists, and it is very important to ensure proper conditions for work and treatment,” Junushalieva noted.
She expressed the opinion that this year it would be possible to start repair work without significant capital expenditures to improve conditions for patients and staff.
The deputy also urged the Minister of Health to visit the institute to assess the situation on the ground.
