According to Turgunbaev, the need for such a department became evident. Over the past two years, the hospital management has been working on the project for a new building and preparing the necessary documents for the regional capital construction management while simultaneously procuring equipment.
However, delays in the construction of the new facility and a high demand for emergency assistance led to the decision to carry out a major renovation of the existing reception area. Funding for this was allocated from the budget of the Ministry of Health. “We have created all the conditions for patients brought in by ambulance. A tender was announced for the construction work, which was won by the company OsOO 'Betelgeuse'. The total cost of the contract was 1 million 476 thousand soms, and the facility has already been put into operation,” the chief physician reported.
The new department is equipped with modern medical equipment necessary for working with critically ill patients, including centralized oxygen supply, monitors for heart rate and blood pressure control, as well as a mobile X-ray machine.
Turgunbaev noted that the opening of the specialized department has significantly improved the speed of assistance to emergency patients and reduced the burden on other departments of the hospital.
