The Renmin University of China (中国人民大学) is one of the leading educational institutions in Beijing, which was the first university of a new type founded by the Communist Party of China. It focuses on the humanities and social sciences such as economics, law, journalism, sociology, and management, and holds a key position among national universities with high rankings.
The North China University, consisting of four faculties and two institutes, including the Political, Educational, Humanities, and Research departments, as well as the Labor and Peasant Institutes, has become a place of study for 15,000 students. The university was headed by Wu Yuzhang after its relocation to liberated Beijing in April 1949. To expedite the training of personnel needed for the country's reconstruction, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to transfer teachers from other educational institutions in Beijing and Tianjin, which led to the official renaming of North China University to Renmin University of China in 1950.
This university has also become an important source of academic inspiration for students from Mongolia, opening doors for them to successful careers.
