In addition to this, Trump also imposed partial restrictions on citizens from 15 countries, including Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Dominica, Gabon, Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, the Kingdom of Tonga, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

However, for citizens of Turkmenistan, the entry restriction to the U.S. on non-immigrant visas has been lifted. This decision is related to the fact that Turkmenistan has "shown significant progress" in cooperation with the U.S., according to the press service.

According to White House representatives, these measures to impose bans and restrictions are aimed at preventing the entry of foreign nationals for whom the U.S. lacks sufficient information to assess potential risks. The importance of complying with immigration laws and maintaining foreign policy objectives is also emphasized.

The statement notes that the countries subject to restrictions often face issues with corruption, document forgery, and a lack of systems for registering citizens, which complicates verification. For example, in Syria, which is recovering from civil conflicts, there is no functioning central authority for issuing passports and civil documents, as noted by the White House.

The restrictions for citizens of 12 countries, which were announced earlier, remain in effect. In June, Trump banned entry to the U.S. for citizens of Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
