In New York State, on Long Island, a twelve-year-old boy displayed incredible courage and resourcefulness by preventing a robbery at his home. This situation, reminiscent of the famous movie "Home Alone," was highlighted in a publication by "Arguments and Facts," referencing the New York Post.
When the incident occurred, the young hero was alone. He heard the sound of breaking glass and footsteps in the kitchen, which made him suspect that someone had entered the house. Seizing the opportunity, the boy climbed out the window and saw a stranger inside their home.
Not wanting to confront the intruder, the schoolboy hid in the yard and called the police. The arriving officers apprehended the suspect, who turned out to be homeless. After that, the boy called his mother to inform her of what had happened.
At first, the woman did not believe him, thinking that her son was joking because of his calm tone. "It was only when he handed the phone to the police officer that I realized this was really happening," she shared.
The mother also noted that her son was most concerned about the safety of the Christmas presents. She called him a hero and emphasized that the whole family is proud of his actions.
