In his statement, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Akhror Burkhanov, urged Uzbek citizens in Iran to refrain from participating in demonstrations and rallies, as well as to avoid crowded places, strictly adhering to personal safety measures.

The protests in Iran, which began in late December, were triggered by the collapse of the national currency and a sharp rise in prices. Participants are demanding changes in the political regime. According to human rights organizations, more than 2,000 people have died, and over 10,000 have been arrested. On January 13, U.S. President Donald Trump promised to support the protesters, noting that he has already developed measures to exert pressure on Iran, but did not specify the details.
