Trump signed the charter of the 'Council for Peace'

In his opening speech, Trump noted: “We will strive for peace across the planet, and this will be a significant contribution to our history. Each of you here is a star, and that is why you are in this hall.”

The president also emphasized that after the Council is fully formed, the organization will be able to implement numerous initiatives in partnership with the UN.

The signing of the charter took place at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Delegates from countries in the Middle East and South America participated in the event, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Argentina, and Paraguay. Among those present were Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev. On stage with Trump were representatives from fewer than twenty countries, but traditional Western European allies of the US were notably absent, as reported by CNN correspondents.

After Trump finished his speech, White House Press Secretary Caroline Livitt announced that the “Council for Peace” has now become an official international organization. Following this, state leaders began to approach Trump one by one to sign the charter.
