The mayor of the city, Robinsar, arrived at the scene and stated that he is personally overseeing the situation to ensure the safety of residents. Some citizens have already expressed concerns about difficulty breathing.
The mayor demanded that PT Vopak conduct an immediate inspection, document information about the affected individuals, and implement safety measures for the citizens. He also ordered an assessment of environmental and industrial safety to prevent similar incidents in the future. An environmental commission will be dispatched to the site shortly.
