The film 'Давс үүрсэн 40 жил' was created based on an article by journalist Chantsaldulam Dorj, published on the website ergelt.mn, and directed by Badralmaa Bat-Erdene. It was also selected for participation in the International Film Festival in Kharkhorin in June 2025 and received support from the National Council of Cinematography of Mongolia.

The film describes the lives of elderly residents of the soum of Gurvantes in Umnugovi province, such as B.Sukhée, B.Tsogzolmaa, D.Altantuyaa, and Ts.Renchinlkhumbé, who extract salt from the Dund River. Their labor benefits both the ecosystem and the local residents and livestock. Tsogzolmaa is Sukhée's older sister and is three years older than her. They work together in the salt mines near the river, located more than 50 kilometers from the center of Gurvantes soum.

During the filming in 2023, Sukhée, Altantuyaa, and Renchinlkhumbé were peers, all 60 years old, and they studied in the same class. Renchinlkhumbé is the only man in this group.
The film also highlights their efforts to protect the salt lakes from being flooded by sand dunes and to preserve their village in the face of 21st-century urbanization. The story of these four residents reflects the complex social, political, and environmental issues of modern times.
