The first medal for Mongolia was won by Temuulen Khadbaatar, a master of sports of international class and a member of the national team. He claimed silver in the individual time trial of 24.6 km for participants under 23 years old, finishing with a time of 30 minutes and 22.88 seconds. This achievement marked his second silver medal at the Asian Cycling Championships in his career.
