In Japan, a baby macaque became an internet star after a story involving a stuffed toy
To help Panch cope with the lack of maternal love, the keepers provided him with soft toys and blankets. As a result, the baby became attached to a plush orangutan, which has become his faithful companion — he hugs it while sleeping and carries it around the enclosure.
Experts note that in the first months of life, baby macaques usually stay close to their mothers, and such "substitutes" help reduce stress for those raised in conditions far from natural.
Currently, Panch is gradually being introduced to other monkeys, but he still keeps his toy close, even while interacting with his peers.
This touching story has sparked widespread interest online, where users discuss both Panch's adorable behavior and the conditions of animals in zoos.
