For me, this Year of the Fire Horse will be my third year as ambassador to Mongolia.
I would like to emphasize that it is a great joy and honor for me to contribute to strengthening the friendly relations between our peoples in this wonderful country. I especially remember how warmly and hospitably the Mongolians welcomed me.
This year, our embassy is focused on supporting the education sector in Mongolia. Given that the government of Mongolia has declared 2026 as the "Year of Education Support," we aim to deepen our cooperation in this area. Education has long been the foundation of German-Mongolian relations. An example of this is the well-known Mongolian writer NACAGDORJ Dashdorj, who went to study in Germany exactly 100 years ago. We will continue our work to strengthen ties between universities and vocational education.
The symbols of the Year of the Fire Horse are energy, resilience, and new beginnings. This reflects the spirit of Mongolia and our common aspirations for the future. We will continue close cooperation and strive to deepen the strong partnership between our countries.
