A freight train consisting of eight forty-foot containers filled with everyday goods and construction equipment will cover a route of over 3,500 kilometers. The travel time is expected to be between 18 to 20 days.
It is reported that "Uztemiryulcontainer" is one of the founders of the joint venture UTK International Logistics, established in China, which organized the shipment of this pilot cargo along the new route connecting China and Central Asia.
This project has become an important step towards implementing agreements to deepen cooperation in the region, which were reached during the meeting of the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan in Dushanbe in 2025.
It is also worth noting that, with the support of JSC "Uzbekiston temir yo'llari" ("Uzbek Railways"), tariff benefits for carriers have been introduced on this multimodal route, confirming the company's readiness to ensure stable and regular freight train movements between China and Central Asia.
Earlier, in July 2025, Chinese authorities sent a train for the first time from the city of Wuhan in Hubei province, thereby expanding international freight transportation along the route China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan and strengthening logistical ties with Central Asian countries.
