
The ministry confirmed the death of high-profile figures such as the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Pakpour, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, Chief of General Staff Abdolrahim Mousavi, and Secretary of the Defense Council Admiral Ali Shamkhani.
In his statement, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed deep condolences over the loss of a group of valiant commanders and fighters who fought for the security and dignity of Iran. This message was published in a press release by the Iranian Foreign Ministry posted on Telegram.
Military actions against Iran began on February 28, involving the United States and Israel. The main objectives of the operation were to change the regime, halt the nuclear program, and destroy missile capabilities and the Iranian navy. As a result of these attacks, the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei was killed, and on March 1, the head of the IRGC was also killed, after which Ahmad Vahidi was appointed as the new commander.
