During the summit in Florida, Trump stated that after completing operations in Iran, the United States may direct its efforts towards Cuba. "We are looking forward to significant changes that will soon take place in Cuba. The island is living its last days in its current state, but right now our focus is on Iran," he added.

According to the president, he believes that reaching an agreement with Cuba can be done quite easily.

At the end of February, Trump also mentioned that Washington is conducting high-level negotiations with Havana and did not rule out the possibility of a "friendly" reunification with Cuba.

"They currently have no financial resources. At the moment, they have nothing. However, they are willing to communicate with us, and perhaps we can integrate Cuba in a friendly manner," he noted.

The U.S. president characterized Cuba as a "failed nation" and emphasized that it needs help from America.

Since 1962, the U.S. has maintained strict trade restrictions against Cuba, imposed after the failed invasion of the island.
