The memorandum was signed after a meeting between the president of the Foundation of Turkic Culture and Heritage, Aktoya Raimkulova, and the Secretary General of TURKPA, Ramil Hasan.
Raimkulova congratulated Hasan on his re-election as Secretary General of the assembly and presented several projects and initiatives that the foundation is implementing under Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship.
The Secretary General, in turn, spoke about the current initiatives of the assembly and shared information about the upcoming short-term observation of the constitutional referendum in Kazakhstan, scheduled for March 15, 2026. He noted that international observers from TURKPA would participate in monitoring this voting.
Hasan also emphasized that the draft of the new Constitution of Kazakhstan includes significant changes to the institutional system, which is of great importance for the entire Turkic community.
During the discussion, the parties explored opportunities for joint work on model laws in the field of cultural heritage within the framework of the relevant commission of TURKPA. Hasan highlighted the significance of the assembly as a platform for legislative cooperation among Turkic states and expressed readiness to support joint initiatives.
The discussion also touched upon the strategic importance of creating an effective legislative framework to enhance interaction between Turkic countries.
Raimkulova invited the TURKPA delegation to participate in the Strategic Conference on Cooperation and a technical seminar on "Combating the Illegal Trafficking of Cultural Property," which will take place in April in Gaziantep (Turkey).
The signed memorandum envisions the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at strengthening cultural and political ties between Turkic states and promoting Turkic cultural heritage at both regional and international levels.
