Afghanistan accused Pakistan of airstrikes on Kabul and Kandahar

According to Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban government, women and children were among those killed in the attacks. Additionally, a fuel depot of the Kam Air airline, located near Kandahar Airport, was damaged.

Pakistani security forces confirmed the strikes, specifying that the targets were four "terrorist hideouts" in Kabul and border areas, as well as an oil storage facility in Kandahar. Islamabad emphasizes that it does not strike civilian populations.

Afghan authorities claim that since the escalation of the conflict began, the number of civilian casualties has reached seven. The UN mission in Afghanistan reported 56 fatalities, including 24 children, as a result of military actions by the Pakistani army from February 26 to March 5. Pakistan, in turn, reported about 12 of its servicemen killed and 27 wounded, while the Taliban claim to have eliminated more than 150 individuals.

The escalation of the conflict began on February 26, when the Afghan side launched an offensive along the border in response to previous airstrikes from Pakistan. Islamabad accuses Kabul of supporting militants linked to the Pakistani movement "Taliban" and the Afghan branch of ISIS, which Afghan authorities categorically deny.
