According to Iranian state media and Reuters, Iran categorically denied accusations of launching missiles towards "friendly" Turkey, claiming that such actions could be part of a provocation aimed at worsening bilateral relations.

A representative of Iran's Central Command "Khatam al-Anbia" stated that the Iranian armed forces did not carry out missile launches towards Turkey. Tehran believes that the incident requires a thorough investigation, as they suspect that the U.S. and Israel may be involved in an attempt to create discord between Ankara and Tehran.

On March 13, the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported that NATO air defense systems intercepted a missile that violated the country's airspace from Iran, noting that this was already the third such incident in March.

Following this incident, Turkey requested clarification from Iran. According to Reuters, Ankara expressed dissatisfaction with the violation of its airspace and proposed a joint investigation.

Some Turkish media outlets, including Savunma Sanayi, suggested that the target could have been Incirlik Air Base; however, Turkish officials did not confirm this information.
