This attack occurred against the backdrop of escalating conflict. Prior to the strike, Israel also reported the elimination of other significant Iranian figures, including Ali Larijani and the head of the "Basij," Gholamreza Soleimani.
In response to these events, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed condemnation and promised serious measures.
