A delegation from Luxembourg, headed by Gusty Graas, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Luxembourg Parliament, is in Mongolia

A delegation from Luxembourg, led by Gusty Graas, arrived in Mongolia at the invitation of Temuulen Ganzorig, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy of the Mongolian Parliament.


On March 24, Temuulen Ganzorig, along with committee members and the head of the Mongolia-Luxembourg parliamentary group Munkhsoyel Baatarjav, held a meeting with the delegation.

During the meeting, Temuulen emphasized the importance of cooperation with Luxembourg, noting that the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations creates excellent opportunities for deepening mutual understanding and expanding joint initiatives.


He also stressed that cooperation at the parliamentary level is crucial for strengthening ties based on shared values of democracy and human rights.

Temuulen added that on December 25, 2025, the Mongolian Parliament ratified a loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to establish a National Cardiology Center, which will be an important contribution to healthcare and a symbol of fifty years of cooperation. He expressed gratitude to Luxembourg for the grant assistance provided.


Munkhsoyel Baatarjav
Munkhsoyel presented a brief summary of the activities of the Mongolia-Luxembourg parliamentary group, which was established in April 2025 and includes five members. She noted Mongolia's efforts to increase women's representation through electoral reforms and emphasized that the current parliament, consisting of 126 deputies, will continue to support women's participation in decision-making processes.

Gusty Graas, expressing satisfaction with the trip, noted that the visit coincided with the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and discussed the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation and achievements in healthcare.


The parties also discussed a project dedicated to cardiovascular health, which will be implemented over 25 years in five phases.
