In the Karuyltobe area of the West Kazakhstan region, local residents discovered a fallen drone. This information was confirmed by the press service of the regional police department, as reported by Kazinform.

According to law enforcement agencies, an investigation is currently underway regarding the circumstances related to the discovery of "objects resembling the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle" in the Akzhaik district.

"The object was found outside the settlement. We are currently clarifying all the details of the incident," the police press service noted.

From time to time, in February and March 2025, residents of the West Kazakhstan region also reported findings of drones. In one case, on February 18, an unidentified drone was spotted near the village of Uyal in the Bokeyordinsky district. A month later, on March 18, another UAV fell in the Taskalin district; it measured 300 cm in length and was found intact. Additionally, on March 25 and 26, wreckage of a UAV was discovered in the Zhanibek district.

The Ministry of Defense explained that over 90% of the unmanned aerial vehicles found in the West Kazakhstan region are located within the boundaries of the testing ground of the 926th Main Flight Test Center of the Russian Federation, which utilizes both the testing ground itself and the airspace above it.
