Uzbek labor migrants in Russia will receive a refund of unpaid wages, the amount of which exceeds two million rubles.
This situation concerns workers from Tyumen's Tobolsk. Thanks to the active intervention of the staff of the General Consulate of Uzbekistan and the Agency for Labor Migration, the issue has been resolved.
Diplomats held a mobile reception, which was attended by more than 100 Uzbek citizens working for the companies "Izhpromservice" and "Sadkom." During the meeting, they received legal and consular assistance, as well as explanations of the rules for processing the necessary documents and complying with migration legislation.
During the inspection, it was revealed that the administration of the "Sadkom" company unjustifiably delayed the salaries of 26 Uzbek workers for February and March. After negotiations with the employer and the general contractor, the debt was acknowledged, and the funds will be transferred to the employees' bank accounts in the near future.
Additionally, an agreement was reached to settle debts owed to another 80 citizens who had previously left the company.
Representatives of the consulate and the migration service also familiarized themselves with the working and living conditions of their compatriots and conducted explanatory work with employers to avoid similar situations in the future.
Diplomats continue to monitor the situation with payments.
Earlier, employees of the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Vladivostok initiated a meeting with representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, expressing serious concern about the situation at the city's international airport. The increasing cases of denying entry to citizens of the republic into the Primorsky Territory were discussed.
