
During the conversation, the President of Ukraine noted that representatives of Trump — Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are dealing with issues of peaceful resolution with Russia, also participated in the discussion.
“We discussed the topics that will be addressed at tomorrow's bilateral meeting in Geneva, as well as preparations for the next full round of negotiations in a trilateral format, which is planned for early March. We hope this will allow us to move on to negotiations at the level of heads of state. President Trump supports this approach,” Zelensky said.
In addition, the Ukrainian leader emphasized that a personal meeting with Vladimir Putin is necessary to resolve all complex and delicate issues, as well as to end the conflict.
A source from the Russian state agency TASS also confirmed that the meeting of the delegations of Russia, Ukraine, and the USA has been postponed to early March, although the place and time are still being discussed.
Earlier, Kirill Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced plans to hold a new round of negotiations with Russia and the USA on February 26-27. The reasons for the postponement of the meeting were not specified.
