The second day of negotiations, which began today, continues in the same formats as the previous day. "We are continuing trilateral consultations, working in groups, and synchronizing our positions," Umerov noted in his message.
The TASS source also confirmed the start of the second day of meetings, noting that the agenda includes discussions on economic issues, territorial aspects, and ceasefire mechanisms.
The first day of negotiations took place on February 4, but as a result, neither side made any official statements. Umerov described the discussions as "substantive and productive," with an emphasis on specific steps and practical solutions.
Leading the Russian delegation at the negotiations in Abu Dhabi is Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The U.S. side is represented by special envoy of Donald Trump Stephen Witkoff and the son-in-law of the U.S. president Jared Kushner. The Ukrainian team, in addition to Umerov, includes Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and head of the president's office Kirill Budanov.
