Official authorities in Tehran acknowledged that the new leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, was injured as a result of a strike by the U.S. and Israel on March 28, but insisted that the injury was minor. The Telegraph added that Khamenei Jr. survived the missile strike on the residence because he had gone for a walk shortly before the attack.
Recall that on March 1, news broke about the death of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as a result of a joint operation by the U.S. and Israel. On March 4, his son, Mojtaba, was elected the new supreme leader of Iran.
