It has been reported that during counter-terrorism operations, active members of the women's wing of this organization were identified, who, under the pretext of teaching sewing and tailoring, were attracting young girls. In the course of their activities, they attempted to subtly instill the ideology of this banned extremist group.
The leaders of the cell actively used closed Telegram channels to disseminate prohibited literature and discuss ideas about creating a caliphate on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During searches at the addresses of the detainees, significant amounts of prohibited literature from "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami," as well as electronic storage devices, computers, flash drives, and mobile phones were found.
On January 29, 2026, during operational activities, five members of the women's cell of the extremist organization were detained and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is currently ongoing.
The State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds that participation of citizens in the activities of religious extremist organizations, as well as the dissemination of extremist materials, may entail criminal liability.
