In the Jalal-Abad region, in the Nooken district, activists of the women's wing of the religious extremist group "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami" have been identified, reports the press service of the State National Security Committee (GKNB).

The investigation established that the girls were invited to sewing training, during which the ideas of this organization were subtly instilled in them. According to information from the GKNB, the group's leaders actively participated in closed Telegram channels, disseminated banned materials, and discussed plans for establishing a caliphate in Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of a search, significant volumes of prohibited literature from "Hizb ut-Tahrir" were found with the suspects, as well as electronic devices, including computers, flash drives, and mobile phones.

On January 29, five members of the women's wing were placed in the GKNB detention center. The investigation is ongoing.

The General Committee for National Security reminds that participation in the activities of religious extremist organizations and the dissemination of extremist materials may result in criminal liability.
