The history of this reservoir began on November 30, 1999, when it was transferred to the balance of the agricultural production cooperative "Pakhary" by a transfer act. Subsequently, in 2021, based on decision No. 28 of the head of the Ivanovsky ayil okmotu, it was transferred to the ownership of this cooperative, after which a state certificate for private ownership was obtained.
As a result of the operational and investigative measures conducted, the reservoir, which had been illegally privatized, was returned to state ownership and is now on the balance of the Issyk-Ata Water Management Department.

Daily regulation reservoirs were actively created during the Soviet period to provide irrigation water for agricultural lands. Their main function is to accumulate water during times of surplus (for example, in winter or during the rainy season) and to use it during droughts.
