The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) has returned the Asem Household Combine to state ownership, which was unlawfully privatized. This was reported by the committee's press service. Now, the building with an area of 4,028 square meters and a land plot of 0.5 hectares are under the balance of the Karakol city administration.
The investigation established that in 1993, the Asem Household Combine, located in the center of Karakol, was sold by the State Property Fund without conducting an auction, which violates the Law "On the General Principles of Denationalization and Privatization in the Kyrgyz Republic" dated December 20, 1991.
As a result of the operational and investigative measures taken, this property and its surroundings were returned to municipal ownership on a voluntary basis.
