In Bishkek, two suspects in years-long extortion from truck drivers at "Dordoi" were detained

On February 9, two suspects were detained in Bishkek for illegally collecting money from drivers who delivered goods from the "Dordoy" market to other countries. The press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported this.

According to the agency, the suspects, known as representatives of the so-called "sportobshchak" — D. Zh. and R. u. A. — had extorted money from truck drivers for 15 years, threatening them and using physical violence. D. Zh. is also suspected of having connections with law enforcement agencies and members of an organized crime group led by Kamchybek Asanbek and Rysbek Akmatbaev.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the detained D. Zh. and R. u. A., and they have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB KR.
