
7 private and 5 multi-story buildings were damaged in Bishkek
As a result of the powerful winds that struck Bishkek and the neighboring Chui and Talas regions, 16 residential houses, 5 multi-story buildings, and 5 educational institutions were affected. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Also affected were 2 enterprises, 2 kindergartens, a village administration building, a guard's house, 6 barns, a shed, the wall of one of the residential buildings, 2 cars, an electric pole, and 4 fallen trees.
In Bishkek, in particular, 7 residential houses, 5 apartment buildings, 2 schools, 1 kindergarten, 2 enterprises, and 2 cars were damaged. The fallen trees caused power lines to break.
In the Chui region, 2 residential houses, 3 schools, 1 village administration building, 1 kindergarten, and 5 barns were affected, as well as 2 fallen trees.
In the Aitmatov district of the Talas region, the wind damaged 7 residential houses, 1 guard's house, 1 barn, 1 shed, and 1 electric pole.
It is worth noting that in Bishkek and the Chui region, storm gusts of wind were observed yesterday, reaching speeds of 15–20 meters per second, which led to fallen trees, roof damage, and power outages.
