Red Crescent: 787 people died in Iran due to strikes by the USA and Israel

Recent strikes carried out by Israel and the United States on Iran have claimed the lives of 787 people, according to the Iranian Red Crescent organization. Details are outlined in a report by Al Jazeera.

According to information from Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA), among the dead are 742 civilians, including 176 children.

Meanwhile, funerals for 165 girls who became victims of the attack on an educational institution in Minab were held in Iran.

The Red Crescent also reported over 1,039 rocket strikes directed at 153 areas of the country, resulting in damage to 504 facilities.

Today, Israel initiated a ground operation in southern Lebanon. Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the country's armed forces have been ordered to begin an "offensive and seize additional strategic areas in Lebanon."

As stated in the official announcement, these actions are aimed at "preventing shelling of Israeli border territories."

The IDF has already entered southern Lebanon and taken control of certain positions. The Israeli army's press service reported that the goal of the operation is to strike at Hezbollah's infrastructure.
