
The incident occurred at a depth of about 200 meters
As a result of a gas release in the Batken region, two miners died and another 19 people were injured. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
This tragedy occurred on March 7 at a mine owned by OsOO "Batken Munai," in the area of the village of Samarkandek in the Batken district.
A team of 13 employees from the mining rescue service was dispatched to the scene, who were able to recover the bodies of the two deceased miners from a depth of about 200 meters, as well as one survivor who was handed over to medical personnel.
Additionally, 18 miners who suffered from gas poisoning were hospitalized in the Batken district hospital, and their condition is currently assessed as satisfactory.
