According to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, from March 18 to 23, avalanches, snow drifts, and the formation of ice are expected in mountainous areas and on certain highways.
The most dangerous sections are located on the following routes:
- Bishkek — Osh (198-260 kilometers, Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge);
- Myza-Ake — Kara-Kuldja — Alayku (55-115 kilometers);
- Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart (292-305 kilometers, Dolon Pass);
- Balakchi — Kazarman — Jalal-Abad (201-205, 260-290, and 326-349 kilometers, Kok-Art Pass);
- Karakoil — Enilchek (45-90 kilometers, Chon-Ashuu Pass).
Drivers are strongly advised to exercise caution in hazardous areas and maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.
Services warn of possible deteriorations in road conditions and advise taking weather conditions into account when planning trips.
